With the advent of digital TV, you no longer have to put up with poor TV pictures, no matter where you are. Freeview HD signals are available to a large proportion of homes in the Palmerston North area and uses a UHF aerial, and those it doesn’t cover can use the Freeview satellite service with a satellite dish. If you purchase a new flatscreen TV, chances are it will have a Freeview decoder (UHF type) built in, otherwise we can supply and install one for you. You can also have an aerial installed now for analogue channels that will be ready for Freeview when you want to upgrade.

SHINE TV AVAILABLE ON FREEVIEW FROM APRIL 1
From the 1st of April 2010 Shine TV will be available nationwide on the Freeview Satellite service. Approved decoders should automatically update to include Shine on channel 25. Other decoders will need to be rescanned for new channels. Most decoders have a simple ‘auto scan’ function in the setup portion of the menu, but if you can’t work it out and you’re within our service area we can get you going for a small charge ($30-$60 incl GST, depending on how far from Palmerston North you are).
